Harvest Festival

The Sioux Center Heritage Board hosts a Harvest Festival on a Friday and Saturday, usually the second weekend in September, at Heritage Village. 

For 2025, Harvest Festival will be Friday, September 12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for school groups, and Saturday, September 13, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for the public.

Harvest Festival brings local history to life with a variety of activities and demonstrations which may include:

  • Apple Cider Press
  • Blacksmith Shop Forge
  • Threshing
  • Corn Shelling
  • Cast Iron Cooking
  • Working Sawmill
  • Rope Making
  • Louie's Leather/Harness Shop
  • Antique Machinery
  • Cream Separating
  • Rug Weaving
  • Farm House
  • Roelof's General Store
  • Sheep Shearing
  • Pottery Making
