Harvest Festival

The Sioux Center Heritage Board and the Heritage Threshers and Collectors host a Harvest Festival on a Friday and Saturday, usually the second weekend in September, at Heritage Village. During the festival, Heritage Village is open on Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., with a variety of activities and demonstrations including:

  • Small Engine Displays
  • Cast Iron Cooking
  • Sawmill
  • Rope Making
  • Orchard Cider Press and Garden
  • Blacksmith Shop
  • Louie's Leather/Harness Shop
  • One Room Schoolhouse
  • Sod Hut
  • Farm House
  • Roelof's General Store
  • Tree walk (PDF) with over 60 kinds of trees
  • Sorghum Press
