Thematic program using books, songs, and rhymes to assist the parent/caregiver in reading to their child. Activities support the development of language skills, listening skills, and word awareness for the purpose of encouraging a lifelong interest in reading. Activities and crafts are designed for children ages 3-6, but siblings of all ages are welcome to attend.
The Sioux Stitchers meets on a monthly basis. Each month, there will be a presenter and a new skill will be taught. There will also be time for show and tell and possibly some hand stitching. No experience is necessary. The goal is to make the meetings fun, develop relationships, and for them to be a teaching opportunity. Periodically, the library will make announcements about upcoming library events and opportunities. Quilt books will be available for check out.
