Community members are invited to help settle Heritage Village into its new home. The Heritage Board and volunteers are hosting a volunteer day on Saturday, April 9, from 8 a.m. to noon.
“We are excited to have this opportunity for the community to get involved at Heritage Village,” said Monty Prins, chairman of the Heritage Board. “It’s a great opportunity to see inside the buildings and the work we’ve done at the new site.”
No special skills are required for this volunteer day. Volunteers will be cleaning buildings, putting displays back up, and mulching around trees at Heritage Village.
People can volunteer for half an hour, an hour, or even all morning, Prins said.
Those interested can visit the “Heritage Village, Sioux Center” page on Facebook and RSVP to the volunteer day event. For those that don’t have Facebook, they can contact Monty Prins at (712) 449-5140.
In case of rain, the volunteer day will be postponed to April 23.
