Jordan Moget, a sophomore at Dordt University, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Sioux Center Municipal Utilities and SCMU’s energy partner Missouri River Energy Services.
“As Sioux Center’s municipal utility provider, we look for ways like this to give back to the community we serve through our partnership with Missouri River Energy Services,” said Sioux Center Utility Manager Murray Hulstein. “Congratulations to Jordan and best wishes as you pursue your studies at Dordt.”
Moget, the son of Gary and Marlys Moget, of Sioux Center, is pursuing a degree in business.
“My goal is to complete by degree here at Dordt University in the spring of 2023 and then pursue a career in administration and management,” Moget said. “Your generosity is allowing me to make my goals a reality.”
This $1,000 scholarship is given annually to student at Dordt University who is a customer of Sioux Center’s municipal power utility. A recipient is selected each year by the college.
Sioux Center Municipal Utilities is a community-owned utility provider, serving Sioux Center’s power, natural gas, wastewater and water needs. SCMU serves more than 2,500 residential and commercial customers and promotes energy efficiency and local economic growth.
