Sioux Center’s Siouxnami Waterpark is set to open Friday, June 12, for summer fun.
The award-winning Siouxnami Waterpark features the state’s only aqua zip line, a lazy river, a variety of water slides, and a life-size floating alligator. There’s fun for all ages, with a climbing wall over the water, low and high diving boards, indoor and outdoor pools, a concession stand, and lots of space to enjoy the sun and water.
The waterpark is opening following Iowa Governor Kim Reynold’s announcement this week that swimming pools could open for the summer. Waterpark users are asked to follow social distancing guidelines at Siouxnami and stay home when not feeling well. Staff is increasing sanitation practices at the waterpark, with a staff member dedicated to sanitizing surfaces. The All Seasons Center leadership has instated policies and procedures to promote the health of all people at the waterpark.
Siouxnami will be open from 12-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12-6 p.m. Saturday. The 12-1 p.m. hour on Monday through Friday is reserved for membership-holders and their guests. Siouxnami is also open 1-5 p.m. on Sundays.
“We are looking forward to seeing kids, adults, families come enjoy the waterpark,” said All Seasons Center Director Dave Ruter. “We’re thankful we get to open and get to do more things in general. We’re glad we can offer Siouxnami Waterpark as place to enjoy safe, wholesome fun.”
Siouxnami Waterpark, recipient of Iowa Tourism Awards’ 2020 Outstanding Attraction honor, is part of Sioux Center’s All Seasons Center, at 770 7th Street NE, in Sioux Center. It opened for its first season in 2020.
