Survey Seeks Public Input for Community Planning

All residents and business people in Sioux Center are invited to complete a brief community survey to share feedback on current and future services and amenities.

“Sioux Center is growing and changing at a significant pace. This survey will help us hear from people and shape ongoing planning to best serve the whole community,” said City Manager Scott Wynja.

The survey was mailed to Sioux Center Municipal Utility customers with their monthly bill, and it is available in paper form at the City Office and Sioux Center Public Library. The survey can also be taken online at

Questions cover a variety of topics including police services, community development, municipal utilities, library services, public communication, and future community needs.

“We asked for feedback with a community survey like this five years ago, and the response was outstanding,” said Utility Manager Murray Hulstein. “We would like to hear from people again because we find the responses are very helpful. This will keep that feedback current.”

For a copy of the survey, take it online, or stop by the City Office at 335 1st Ave. NW. Surveys should completed and returned to the City Office by Sept. 30.
