Aquatic Center Construction Begins

Aquatic center utility work

Construction is beginning on a project that will add a splash to Sioux Center’s summer fun.

Work is rolling on the expanded aquatic center at the All Seasons Center, which will offer a lazy river, a variety of water slides, an aquatic zip line, a climbing wall, diving boards and lots of space to swim and play.

The existing outdoor pool at the All Seasons Center will be open as usual this summer, even as construction gets underway. The outdoor and indoor pools open for the summer season Friday, May 25.

“You can still come and enjoy our outdoor pool plus you’ll be able to watch construction from the pool area and get excited for what’s coming in 2019,” said All Seasons Center Director Dave Ruter.

The first step of construction has been rerouting the utility lines around the aquatic center area, near the existing outdoor pool at the All Seasons Center.

The contractor, Peska Construction, of Sioux Falls, plans to complete the project by next May, ready for summer fun in 2019.
