CODE ENFORCEMENT
Adam Fedders, Code Enforcement Officer, serves as
the Building Inspector, Energy Efficiency Coordinator, and Zoning Administrator for the
City of Sioux Center.
Sidewalk Replacement Program:
The City of Sioux Center continues to offer assistance with the
cost of replacing deteriorating sidewalks. The cost share, designed to
cover the cost of concrete, has been increased from $2.80 to $3.20 per
lineal foot. City participation requires approval. For more information,

Building permits are required for
new construction, remodeling that includes structural, electrical or
plumbing changes, accessory buildings, patios, and finishing previously
unfinished spaces. Additional regulations are listed in the City of Sioux
Center Code of Ordinances.
The City of Sioux Center has adopted Zoning
Ordinances and Subdivision Regulations. Exceptions to these rules are considered by the
Planning and Zoning Commission and/or the Board of Adjustment.
